Former South Yuba Club Employee Sentenced

A former employee of the South Yuba Club in Grass Valley has been sentenced to 303 days in jail and 5 years probation, after pleading guilty, earlier this year, to embezzlement-related charges. Helen Bradford was 60 at the time of her arrest in April of last year. Police Captain Steve Johnson says the manager of the club told the department that he had recently fired Bradford, who was the club’s controller and human resources manager…

The South Yuba Club lost over $60,000. Bradford was originally charged with over 80 embezzlement counts. But she pleaded guilty to one embezzlement count, as well as one count of identity theft.
