Former Waste Mgt Employee Sentenced Embezzlement

A former employee convicted 6 months ago of embezzling the Waste Management recycling center has been sentenced. Prosecutors had sought 3 years in prison for Randal Gassaway. Newell says Gassaway has been sentenced to 5 years probation plus 1 year in the county jail, of which some of that time has already been served. Newell says he was not disappointed with the outcome of the case…

Newell says Gassaway has been ordered to pay back $100,000 to Waste Management. Gassaway was convicted of falsifying invoices for redeemed recyclables.
