Forum On Coping with Alzheimer’s and Dementia

A Community Alzheimer’s and Dementia Forum is being presented by Atria Grass Valley and Sierra Nevada Memorial Hospital Foundation this evening (Jan.31). Foundation Executive Director Kimberly Parker says it will be at the Nevada Theater in Nevada City.

Parker says a panel of experts will take questions and discuss the challenges of caring for a family member who is living with dementia.

Panel members include David Troxel, a renowned author and

dementia care expert, Dr Helen Crawford, a geriatric psychiatrist, Renee Chevreaux who is the local Alzheimer’s Outreach Program coordinator and Sherry Bartolucci, a family caregiver who will share her story of taking care of her husband at home and how she came to the difficult decision about placement when it was time . The forum is free and open to the public.
