Foster Honored With Farewell Barbecue

With Grass Valley about to install a new Police Chief, a farewell is planned for outgoing chief John Foster. New Chief-to-be Alex Gammelgard says the Police Department will be holding an open house tomorrow (Wednesday). You’ll get to tour the facility, enjoy some lunch, and there will even be some activities for the kids…

Gammelgard says it is normal to have a retirement party for an outgoing chief, but this event was Foster’s idea to kind of turn it around…

The community barbecue and open house is tomorrow (Wednesday) from 11am to 2pm at the Police Department office, next to Grass Valley City Hall.
