Four Applicants for Vacant Council Seat

There will be four candidates to choose from when the Grass Valley City Council fills the vacant seat next month. Noon today was the deadline for candidates to apply. The City Clerk tells KNCO two people applied this morning–Bed and Breakfast owner John Lamb and Planning Commissioner Benjamin Aguilar. Jerri Glover, who was the top runner-up in the November election filed earlier this week, and health care information technology manager Jedidiah Watson filed yesterday.  The City Council will interview the four candidates in open session at their next meeting February 10. The Council is expected to choose a candidate at their following meeting on February 24.

For disclosure, we tell you the 34 year-old Watson is also a cousin of KNCO’s Paul Haas, but is not affiliated with the radio station.
