Four Vegetation Fires Put Out By CAL FIRE

Fire season continues to heat up with the weather. CAL FIRE’s Nevada-Yuba-Placer Unit extinguished four vegetation fires early Tuesday morning. South Operations Chief Scott Lindgren says two flared up on Beale Air Force Base property on Spenceville Road, with the largest being about 10 acres and the other about an acre. Two other spot fires of less than an acre were also put out along Longview Drive in the Camp Far West area and just off Loma Rica Road. The cause of the fires is unknown at this time…

To make sure the fires did not grow into major blazes that could also have threatened structures, Lindgren says over 50 firefighters responded…
