Free Child Safety Day Saturday

Beam Security Systems again this year is presenting a Free Child Safety Day featuring Nationally recognized child safety expert  Marc Klass and the non profit KlaasKids Foundation. Klaas started the foundation after his daughter Polly was kidnapped and murdered in Petaluma, California in 1993.  Parents are encouraged to bring their children to the Beam Center on Henderson Street Saturday between 10am and 4pm. Each child will receive a comprehensive packet of child safety tools and  a digital copy of their fingerprints and a current photo. Klass says the Foundation does not store the child’s information, it is all given to the family.

Free DNA collection kits will also be given to parents for their children.  The Kids day also features a number of fun events and Nevada County Police,  Sheriff’s and Fire department personnel all get involved.
