Free Comic Book Day at Local Libraries

Saturday is Free Comic Book Day across the nation and the Grass Valley and Madelyn Helling Libraries are taking part.  County Librarian Laura Pappani says that Diamond Comic Distributors is providing the free comics everyone can enjoy.

At the Grass Valley Library, from 2 to 4, there will be tables to play card games, kids will get the chance to make super hero masks and wrist bands, and there will even be a costume contest with prizes.

Pappani says Free Comic Book Day is a great opportunity for anyone who might be interested in checking out American comics.

Free Comic Book Day is all day Saturday with activities at the Grass Valley branch from 2 to 4.  For more information, call the library at 265-7050.  Money for supplies and prizes are being provided by the Friends of Nevada County Libraries.
