Free Fare Days to Continue in 2017

Healy-Harman projects about 30 days of free fares this year and that number could go higher. They had 29 free fare days last year. There are a number of eventgs spread throughout the year where rides anywhere on the bus system are free, whether you are going to that particular event or not…

They also have free shuttle rides during the Nevada County Fair in August. Healy-Harman says the total amount of the grant is 83-thousand dollars, which they will try to spread out over three years to keep the free fare program going. The next free fare days are later this week, January 12 through 14, during the Wild and Scenic Film Festival.
