Free Fishing Day Saturday

Grab your fishing pole because tomorrow is one of two free fishing days this year in California. Fish and Game warden Patrick Foy says wardens will not be checking for fishing licenses on Saturday in an effort to promote the sport.

A basic fishing license in California would normally cost $40. Fishing regulations will still be in force on Free Fishing day, such as size limits, gear restrictions and fishing hours. There will be one more free fishing day this year on September 8th.
