Hospice of the Foothills has been in Nevada County for 30 years. In 2006 Hospice opened its Compassionate Care Facility to provide comfortable care for patients nearing the end of life. Hospice Ambassador Suzzane Reese has been volunteering with Friends of Hospice for over 20 years and is aware that not everyone knows what services Hospice provides.

Friends of Hospice of the Foothills is the fundraising arm of Hopsice. Each year they commit to raising $100,000 to provide services and resources to Nevada County residents. This year, with economic times being tighter, Friends of Hospice has created a unique donation opportunity. Cathy Jostes explains how the “No-Show Gala” is designed to lessen the burden on donors.
