The Friendship Club is hosting a spaghetti dinner and raffle this Saturday evening at the Grass Valley Veteran’s Building. Jennifer Singer is the club’s executive director and says the local group is dedicated to making a difference in the lives of girls.
The program’s middle school program director, Denise Tambasco, says their after school program is focused on learning without making girls feel like they’re still in class.
The spaghetti dinner and raffle are a fundraiser to help the friendship club keep up their after school, field trip, and summer camp programs. Tambasco says this fundraiser is different from their usual ones because its completely organized by their students.
The spaghetti dinner and raffle is Saturday from 5 to 8 at the Grass Valley Veterans Building on South Auburn Street. You can eat your dinner there or take it to go. For tickets and information, check out their website or call 265-4311.
