Furry Friday at BloodSource

It’s Furry Friday at the Grass Valley BloodSource Center on Sutton Way.
Today you have the opportunity to give blood, help the animal shelter, and possibly adopt a pet in need of a home, all at the same time.
Blood Source is partnering with Sammie’s Friends Animal Shelter by making a donation, for each pint of blood that is donated today, to support the animals in the shelter. Tiffany Glasser with Sammie’s Friends says the partnership is a win-win.

In addition to helping Sammie’s Friends and BloodSource with your donation, the shelter has dogs and cats at the BloodSource Clinic too. Vici has Flower the Cat with her. Flower has been at Sammie’s Friends since August.

Sammie’s Friends is rotating animals every two hours.
BloodSource is hoping to get over 20 donors to come through the doors today.
Furry Friday takes place until 2 PM at the Grass Valley BloodSource Clinic on Sutton Way.
