Another appearance, in a Nevada County courtroom, for the six men accused in the vehicle-to-vehicle shooting death of a Grass Valley woman last month. And Assistant District Attorney Chris Walsh says they’ve now added gang enhancement charges…
Five of the six suspects are from Dallas, Texas, with the other from Shreveport, Louisiana. Walsh says that means a major increase in the potential criminal penalties for the five suspects who did not fire any shots…
But Walsh says the suspected triggerman, 22-year-old Trey Richard, of Dallas, was already facing a possible maximum sentence of life in prison without parole and was the only one charged with murder. 36-year-old Shanta Olsen was shot inside a vehicle near West Main and Alta Streets on November seventh. Authorities say the incident stemmed from a dispute over a marijuana transaction. The driver of the vehicle she was in was pursuing the suspects, after it became clear that the men were using fake money.
