Gas Prices Mostly Flat

As the fall and winter travel season gets underway, California motorists continue to benefit from relative gas price savings. The statewide average was about 40-cents higher a year ago, according to Patrick DeHaan with Gas Buddy dot-com. He says there WAS a slight uptick last week, due to a significant rebound in crude oil prices. But that’s now considered an anomaly…

Gasoline demand also typically retreats as we get into November. The cheapest overall average price in California can once again be found in Yuba City and Marysville, at 2-47 a gallon, according to the latest monthly Triple-A survey. That’s 37-cents lower than the statewide average and 11-cents lower than the second-cheapest average, which is in Chico. The Sacramento average is 2-64.
