After months of stagnation, gas prices appear to be spiking up again at a number of stations, including in Nevada County. Patrick De Haan, with Gas Buddy dot-com, says the stock market has been thriving recently, despite economic impacts from the surge in coronavirus cases…
And even with the strictest stay-at-home order expected soon, De Haan says it doesn’t look like there won’t be nearly as many people staying off the roads and highways, which should keep demand for gas up. But he says it’s not certain how long this price trend will continue….
Gas prices plumetted early in the pandemic, when driving dropped, due to massive layoffs and many more people working from home.
