Glitches Plague Covered California Start-up

The Covered California Website   went live at 8 a.m. Tuesday morning,  and  by 3 o’clock Tuesday afternoon the site had  received 5 million hits.  Nevada County Social Services Director Nicole Pollack says there was a huge interest in exploring  healthcare options   but  the website could not keep up with demand.

Covered-California-road2One example is that the Internet Explorer browser was not connecting as well as it could have been connecting with the system. Pollack says Tuesday  night at 9 o’clock the Covered California website was shut down.

Coverage under the new Affordable Care Act begins January First and people have until next March to sign up.

This is just the start of how much of a train wreck the Affordable Care Act is going to be.
