Grass Valley City Council Candidate Jerri Glover ran a good race but came up just a bit short Tuesday night. Glover, a first timer in a political campaign received 24% of the vote while incumbent Jason Fouyer received almost 28% of the vote. Second place candidate Terry Lamphier trailed Foyer by just 5 votes. A total of only134 votes separated the top three candidates. Glover offers sincere congratulations to Vice Mayor Jason Fouyer and Terry Lamphier for receiving the top number of votes and says the election process was a valuable learning experience.
Glover plans to continue to be an active participant at Grass Valley City Council meetings and maintain relationships established during the election. Though things did not turn out exactly as she had hoped, Jerri Glover was proud of the fact that she had the highest number of votes at the polls on election day.
Glover also gave credit to Jason Fouyer and his campaign.
Glover intends to continue serving this great City and doing work including painting the beautiful bleachers at Les Eva Field/Memorial Park that were built by the hard work of volunteers.
Glover is also assisting the American Legion 130 find volunteers to help them maintain the Veteran’s Memorial at at Memorial Park.
