Go Directly to Jail- Don’t Pass Go

If you have a wanted by law enforcement, you probably shouldn’t ask them for a ride….
A woman sitting on the side of the road on the backside of Alta Sierra asked for a ride to town and ended up getting one all the way to the county jail. Nevada County Sheriff Captain Jeff Pettit says a deputy on routine patrol spotted the woman,  38 year old Jamie Hannahs,  sitting on the side of Dog Bar Rd. and turned around to perform a welfare check.

Hannahs,-JamieBefore giving a ride to anyone, it is standard procedure to do a warrant check on the potential passenger.

Hannahs was transported the the Wayne Brown Correctional Facility and booked on charges related to her warrant.
