Gold Country Stage and Paratransit Changes

Public transit fixed route service, Gold Country Stage and door-to-door paratransit service will have some system changes effective July 1, 2013, as follows:
 Route 2- Ridge Rd. will now service the downtown Grass Valley Safeway and the bus stop at Church and Neal Streets five times a day on the half hour and increase travel and transfer opportunities for passengers.
 Route 3 Loma Rica will now service the Tinloy Transit Center before the Loma Rica run which offers an additional travel and transfer opportunity for passengers.
 Route 4 Brunswick Basin will now offer a new bus shelter stop at the new Hospitality House location on Sutton Way (pending construction completion).
 Route 5X (express) Auburn will now service the Highway 49 Mountain Air and Forest Springs mobile home parks both southbound and northbound as on-demand stops.
 Route 5X (express) Auburn morning run will depart Grass Valley at 9:20 AM and allow for a transfer connection to Placer County Transit and Amtrak connections in Auburn for both departing and arriving passengers.
 Route 5 Auburn will now provide a bus shelter at the Alta Sierra Drive bus stop.
 All GCS Routes will be available to and from the Airport/Gold Country Stage office bus stop for the first and last runs of the day.
 Gold Country Stage Saturday Service will be available starting Saturday July 6, 2013, from 7:30 AM- 5:00 PM on Routes 1, 2, 3, and 4.
A Route 6X (express) direct from Grass Valley to Penn Valley/Lake Wildwood will run at 7:15 AM/12:15 PM/4:15 PM on Saturday.
 Door-to-door public paratransit service in western Nevada County, as mandated by ADA law, through a contract with the County of Nevada, will continue to serve western Nevada County through the new provider, Paratransit Services/Gold Country LIFT. Hours, fares and service areas will remain the same Monday through Friday. Saturday service will also be available 7:30 AM through 5:00 PM in the local Grass Valley/Nevada City areas. Gold Country Stage staff will be providing public outreach at the Tinloy Transit Center (Tinloy and Bank Streets in Grass Valley) prior to the changes. New Gold Country Stage Rider’s Guides, reflecting all the changes, are available from Gold Country Stage drivers, locations throughout western Nevada County, and at www.goldcountrystage.com.
