It is the start of a new fiscal year for Gold Country Stage Transit Services and with that come some changes that will provide improved operational efficiency while maintaining current service.

Transit Services Director, Susan Healy-Harmon says one thing that will continue is Saturday service for the Gold Country Stage and the Gold Country Lift para-transit from 7:30 a.m. to 5 p.m., and Monday through Friday the hours are extended until 8 p.m. She says they’ve also added an On Demand stop on Route 1 on Nevada Street at Willow Valley.

There will also be some changes to the popular Gold Country Stage Route 4.

It will go from the Glenbrook Shopping Center to the Gold Country Shopping Center and Western Sierra Medical Center, then northbound on Old Tunnel road and loop back around to the Fowler Center. Healy-Harman says Route 4 will also be serving Hospitality House hourly at the end of Sutton Way.
She says buses heading out or returning to the Bus Yard on Loma Rica Dr. will also take passengers.

The one-way fare to ride Gold Country Stage remains at $1.50 and the one-way fare between Grass Valley and Auburn is $3.00.
