Gold Country Stage Reduces Bus Service

Gold Country Stage has reduced their bus service in and around Nevada County. Due to the shelter in place mandate, ridership is way down, and officials say even with offering free fares, buses have been running near or close to empty. The Nevada County Transit Services Division has decided to go to what is essentially a full-time Saturday schedule, 7:15am to 5:30pm, with three trips a day to Auburn, but no service to and from North San Juan. The changes went into effect April 1. Fares will remain free through April 30.
