Gold Grit and Glory Writing Challenge

What’s so special about Empire Mine?  The volunteers of the Empire Mine Park Association are hosting a writing contest for 3rd through 8th graders to answer that question. It could be the historic characters, what it was like to work in the mine or the blacksmith shop, or even about the mules that played an important part in the tunnels below the surface.     D
