Golf Cart Driver Charged with Felony DUI

A late evening trip in a golf cart didn’t end very well for two people in Lake of the Pines Saturday.

CHP Officer Greg Tassone says 54 year old Michael Lee Price of Lake of the Pines was driving a golf cart and made a sharp turn into his driveway.

Tassone says there were only two people in the golf cart and there were no other vehicles involved. The CHP started evaluating the driver and it quickly became evident that he was potentially under the influence.

The passenger in the golf cart, a 47 year old woman from North Highlands was taken to Sutter Roseville Hospital for treatment of moderate injuries.
