GoPro Cameras Recovered During Arrest

As suspect arrested with the help of good police work by Intern Officers in the Grass Valley Police Department. Late Tuesday night Grass Valley Police responded to a burglary alarm at a local sporting goods store. According to Lt. Alex Gammelgard the suspect or suspects had already fled the scene by the time officers arrived.

Investigating officers located footprints leading to and from a parking area near the business. Using video surveillance footage the following day, officers were able to determine the type of vehicle potentially used by the suspects.

The interns notified one of the detectives involved with the case.

Donald McGuckin, age 48, was questioned by the detective and eventually placed in custody.

McGuckin booked into the Wayne Brown Correctional Facility for burglary, possession of stolen property, and drug related charges.
