Governor Appoints Nevada County Chief Probation Officer to State Board

Governor Jerry Brown appoints Nevada County Chief Probation Officer, Michael Ertola, to the California Board of State and Community Corrections. Ertola, 52, and a resident of Auburn, has been chief probation officer since 2012 and probation program manager since 2001 at the Nevada County Probation Department. Prior to coming to Nevada County, Ertola served as a deputy probation officer at the San Mateo County Probation Department from 1988 to 2001. The position requires Senate confirmation and there is no compensation.
