Grass Valley Air Attack Doing Training Exercises

Fire season begins this summer, and Sjolund says despite the wet winter, he expects the base to be up and running at its usual time…

The base is home to four aircraft during fire season with about 15 support personnel on the ground. The planes are housed at McClellan Air Park in Sacramento during the offseason.
