Grass Valley and Nevada City Below Average Rain

It’s early, but Grass Valley and Nevada City are already off to a slow start for the rainy season. Sierra Littlefield, with the National Weather Service, says only one-point-13 inches has fallen on Grass Valley, since the precipitation year officially began on October first. Sacramento is at only eight-percent of average. And beyond this system, Littlefield says it’s expected to stay dry at least through Saturday and it’s too early to tell when we’ll get rain again, possibly early next week.
