Grass Valley Approves Outdoor Dining Ordinance

Some Grass Valley restaurants can now offer outdoor seating extending into parking lots, under an ordinance just passed by the City Council…

City Community Development Director Tom Last says it’s an effort to help those businesses find additional seating because of the Covid-19 restrictions. He says those businesses would have to submit a plan to the city before they could extend the seating, but the hope is for approval within 24 hours, and to not create any further delays….

The ordinance will be re-visited in three months, and will be discontinued if more coronavirus restrictions are lifted.
