Grass Valley City Mgr Returning To Auburn

Nevada County is losing another prominent public official. Grass Valley City Manager Bob Richardson is returning to Auburn, where he held the same job from 2003 to 2014 before coming here. Richardson did not return a call for comment. Mayor Howard Levine says they’ll issue a press release Tuesday. Auburn City Councilman Bill Kirby says he expects Richardson to take over again in about a month. Auburn has had an interim City Manager for about 5 months. Richardson lives between Auburn and Grass Valley. Last week, Nevada County Office of Education Superintendent Holly Hermansen said she was retiring in August.
