Grass Valley Couple Arrested For Burglaries

A Grass Valley couple, arrested for a recent break-in, are also linked to a number of other burglaries in the area. Police Sergeant Brian Blakemore says 24-year-old James Gonzalez and 21-year-old Ashlee Dalton are charged with breaking into a trailer behind the Veterans Hall, where a number of medieval replica weapons were among items missing. The trailer belongs to a guild of medieval re-enactors. Officers then conducted a probation search where the two were staying, on LaMarque Court. Blakemore says no stolen items were found, but they did seize heroin paraphenalia. He says Gonzalez has been arrested 8 times this year. And Dalton has been arrested 7 times…

Blakemore says two 55-inch swords, worth 15-hundred dollars each, and a 15-inch dagger, worth about 300 dollars, are still missing. Gonzalez and Dalton were also arrested for outstanding warrants linked to recent thefts.
