A P-G-and-E lineman from Grass Valley has just returned from New York, where he was helping restore power to victims of Hurricane Sandy. Jeff Painter was one of 250 workers from California who were there to help out…
Painter and his crews were working 16 hours a day for two and a half weeks putting in new poles and stringing wire. He says the victims were very appreciative of their efforts…
Although the work is long and dangerous, no P-G-and-E workers were injured while they were there. Painter now gets some well-deserved time off. He had already planned to take a vacation this week, but will be back on the job in Nevada County next Monday.
