The City of Grass Valley is looking at making changes to its smoking ordinance…
Police Lieutenant Alex Gammelgard says the downtown core would be expanded further south on Mill Street, and also further up West Main Street. Also, e-cigarettes would fall under the smoking ban, and Gammelgard says there could be some other changes…
The City Council will discuss the issue at its meeting tonight, and likely go through the first reading of an amended ordinance. In a separate matter, Gammelgard says the city will also look at allowing dogs at public gatherings…
If those ordinances are approved, there would be a second reading, and then would take effect 30 days after that. Tonight’s meeting is at 7 o’clock at City Hall.

Prohibiting smoking on PRIVATE property. So now the city is going to tell people they cannot use a legal product on the personal, private property?
