Grass Valley Man Arrested at SF Ballpark

A Grass Valley man, awaiting a May 2013 trial on two charges of DUI causing death, was arrested Sunday on suspicion of battery, vandalism and public intoxication for allegedly attacking another man at a restroom at AT&T Park in San Francisco.
Twenty-six-year-old Christopher Torri Smith allegedly hit the 21-year-old and then fled but police found Smith and took him into custody. A motive for the alleged attack during the game between the Giants and L.A. Dodgers has not been determined, according to the San Francisco Police.
Smith’s trial in Washoe County, Nevada involves the Dec. 30 accident that killed two people in a crosswalk in Incline Village. He’s accused of being under the influence of marijuana when the fatal accident occurred.
Michael Bolenbaker, the deputy district attorney in Washoe County prosecuting the DUI deaths, said Tuesday he’ll review police reports about Smith’s arrest in San Francisco. Bolenbaker said defendant Smith’s $60,000 bail could change.
