Bates says the two men suffered one fracture each and were treated and released at the hospital. He says Lucas also threw a rock at the boy and missed. Lucas, a transient whom Bates says is known to law enforcement, is facing two felony charges: assault with a deadly weapon and battery causing serious bodily injury.
