Scales says the victim, who hasn’t been identified, had what he described as significant injuries. But he was last reported to be in stable condition. Scales says Skelton and the victim were acquaintances but had no more specifics on their relationship or a motive for the shooting. Skelton was booked for assault with a deadly weapon causing great bodily injury.
