Grass Valley Man Arrested on Assault Charge

A woman screaming had the Grass Valley Police looking for the source of the screams. Grass Valley Police Sergeant Joe Matteoni says a call on North Church Street for several reports of a female screaming for help, lead officers to contact 34 year old Anthony Martinez at the home on the three hundred block, Saturday evening.

The Sergeant says the female victim had  several facial injures.  As a result Martinez was taken into custody for suspicion of domestic violence. The victim was not seriously injured.
