Grass Valley Pins One and Prepares to Promote Another

Grass Valley Police have a new full-time officer on the force and are looking to upgrade an existing position. Police Chief John Foster says Joseph Bush was hired as a Reserve Police Officer with the Grass Valley Police Department in September 2008 and comes with valuable experience and has deep roots in the community.

Foster says that Joseph Bush is a loyal employee and the department is pleased to welcome him as a full time Police Officer.

In a separate police personnel action, Chief John Foster is requesting the re-classification of a sergeant position to the position of lieutenant. The allocation of a second lieutenant position is consistent with Police Department Goals in that it provides the opportunity to enhance core police services, overall wellness of employees and a continued focus on excellent customer service. Chief Foster says the position will be filled from within and there are two excellent candidates from which to chose.
