Grass Valley Pursuit Suspect Found

A Grass Valley man whom authorities say led them on a high speed chase in the area on Tuesday has been located and taken into custody. CHP Officer Greg Tassone says 24-year-old Peter McDonald was found by security personnel in a parking garage at Mercy San Juan Medical Center in Sacramento during the mid-day hours of Tuesday…

McDonald crashed his car in a ditch off McCourtney Road at one point during the pursuit before allegedly running into a wooded residential area and, soon after, stealing another car. Tassone says McDonald has been treated for his injuries at the hospital, but has not been charged yet…

McDonald had been described by authorities as being very distraught and disturbed during the chase. Tassone says the stolen car has been recovered by Sacramento Police in the same area as the hospital.
