The Grass Valley City Council meets tonight, and one of the items on the agenda will be appointing an ad-hoc committee to look at city parks. Mayor Jason Fouyer says while the ultimate goal would be to eventually re-establish a Parks and Recreation Department, the committee will be focusing on getting the city’s parks cleaned up…
The initial focus will be on Memorial Park, but will extend to all the others. LIke the ad-hoc committee on a marijuana ordinance, the idea is to get input from the community, and then bring the results back to the city council at a later date. …referring to Vice Mayor Howard Levine and councilwoman Lisa Swarthout. Tonight’s meeting is at 7 o’clock at City Hall. Also, Nevada City’s council meeting, which would normally be tomorrow night, has been pushed back to November 30 because of Thanksgiving.
