Grass Valley to Appoint Parks Committee

The Grass Valley City Council meets tonight, and one of the items on the agenda will be appointing an ad-hoc committee to look at city parks. The initial focus will be on Memorial Park, but will extend to all the others. LIke the ad-hoc committee on a marijuana ordinance, the idea is to get input from the community, and then bring the results back to the city council at a later date. …referring to Vice Mayor Howard Levine and councilwoman Lisa Swarthout. Tonight’s meeting is at 7 o’clock at City Hall. Also, Nevada City’s council meeting, which would normally be tomorrow night, has been pushed back to November 30 because of Thanksgiving.
