Grass Valley Woman Injured in McCourtney Road Crash

A Grass Valley woman suffered serious lacerations following a solo vehicle accident Sunday night . At approximately 11:20 pm 21 year old Selena Llamas was driving a 1997 Jeep Cherokee southbound on McCourtney Road, south of Elster Place, when for unknown reasons she abruptly steered her vehicle to the right sending the Jeep into a spin. the Jeep overturned and continued to rotate as it traveled off the east road edge and the vehicle collided through a plastic corral style fence. The vehicle then came to rest on it’s wheels. Ms. Llmas was able to get herself out of the vehicle and walked to a nearby residence to call 911. She was transported to Sierra Nevada Memorial Hospital for treatment of major lacerations to her left arm. The CHP report says drugs or alcohol are not a factor in the collision.
