A Grass Valley woman was seriously injured in a DUI crash over the weekend. CHP Officer Greg Tassone says 35-year-old Joshua Bridges of Auburn was driving home, around midnight Saturday night, southbound on Highway 49 near Smith Road, in a highly intoxicated state and at a high rate of speed…

Tassone describes the injuries to 31-year-old Madai Torres as moderate to major, including fractures. Bridges was arrested on two felony DUI charges, with a blood-alcohol content of 3 times the legal limit. But he says more serious charges may also be filed….

Tassone says Torres’ family had also been following behind in another vehicle, but had stopped off for gas. A short while later, they came upon the accident.
