Greenhorn Fire Fully Contained

A vegetation fire in the Peardale-Chicago Park area caused some brief evacuations, but no structures were destroyed and that fire is contained now. The Greenhorn Fire broke out yesterday afternoon just before 3pm near Greenhorn Access Road and Highway 174–close to Rollins Lake. The Greenhorn Campground was evacuated, and so were homes along Louis Road, Frederick Way, and Marie Lane. That fire burned ten acres. Close to a hundred personnel were used to battle the blaze.
