I-F-M’s Kate LaFerriere says people usually think about helping the hungry during the holidays, but donations are typically down during the summer months. Interfaith volunteers will also be at Grocery Outlet on July 17th and 24th selling pre-packaged grocery bags of food for donation. Grocery Outlet’s goal this year is to raise 75-hundred dollars through the Independence From Hunger program. Last year, they raised six-thousand dollars. There are over 67-hundred families who have registered with Interfaith for food services.
