GV CHP Assists in Stolen Vehicle Recovery

The Grass Valley CHP office was contacted by Butte County officials last evening  (Aug. 4) for assistance in locating a stolen vehicle, according to Grass Valley CHP Officer Greg Tassone.

Officer Tassone says the 2009 Chevy Cobalt two door coupe was heading northbound on Highway 49 towards Grass Valley, and then it made a turn.

CHP units headed that way and made a traffic stop on the vehicle just prior to the intersection of Rough And Ready Highway and Penn Valley Drive.

Two suspects in the vehicle, 45 year old Brian Gibson of Oroville.   Gibson-Brian

 

 

 

 

 

 

and 50 year old Terry Johnson were taken into custody and booked into the Wayne Brown Correctional Facility  on charges of vehicle theft and possession of stolen property.
