GV Eatery Keeps Thanksgiving Tradition Alive

A Thanksgiving tradition continues at the Old Town Cafe in downtown Grass Valley as owner Robin Buckman offers a free Thanksgiving dinner to anyone who wants to share a meal with others.

Robin also says that 8 of his staff and a number of family members are volunteering to come down and serve the meal, which is provided as a sit down meal- not buffet style.

Buckman says that his suppliers make it possible by providing deep discounts or donating food items used for the meal.
Though he wasn’t sure exactly how many meals get served, he did know they serve over 130 pounds of turkey.

Old Town Cafe on Mill Street will be serving Thanksgiving from 11 AM to 3PM.
