GVPD Gets 2 Reserve Officers

Local   Police Departments, like many departments across the country, are trying to find ways to stretch their dollars while continuing to maintain the highest level of service to their communities. El Dorado county Sheriff  D’Agostini has revived the El Dorado county Reserve Program not just for cost savings according to Lt. Tim Becker.

Grass Valley Police Department has opened 2 reserve offficer postions. According to Grass Valley Police chief John Foster one of those is in training.

The second reserve officer is in the process of the background check and may be in training this fall.
