GVPD Sees Positive Results in Citizen Survey

The results are in for the most recent Citizen Satifaction Survey evaluating Grass Valley Police Department services. Chief John Foster says the results ar trending to the positive.

Chief Foster credits additional resources on the street resulting from the passage of Measure N several years ago.

The chief also acknowledges that citizens feel there are still concerns within the community.

Theft is also one of the top concerns.

Foster says a number of categories show a decrease in the level of concern.

Citizens would like to see more support in crime prevention, drug enforcement and traffic enforcement going forward.

A full report on the survey will be presented Tuesday night at the Grass valley City Council meeting. Grass valley Officers in charge of the Strategic Response Team will also be presenting to the council.
