The Nevada County Health Officer is on board with recommending that people wear face coverings while going out in public, but he is doing so cautiously. In a video presentation, Dr. Ken Cutler says masks can help, but he is not going to mandate people wear them.
Cutler also wants to reserve masks, which are in short supply, for heath care workers.
He also says that cleaning face coverings reguarly is imperative to maintaining personal health.
During the Board of Supervisors meeting Tuesday morning Cutler reported that best estimates show 908 Coronovirus Tests have been administered in the county. County Public Helath Director, Jill Blake also reported that 26 of the 34 reported cases in Nevada County are no longer being mangaed by the Communicable Disease nurses. This is a positive sign.
