Heat Wave Peaks Today With Triple Digits

Just in time for the month of August comes likely the hottest day of the year–at least so far. The National Weather Service is predicting a high of 102 degrees today, one of the few times the thermometer hits triple digits in the foothills. Temperatures are supposed to start cooling a little bit starting tomorrow, but the National Weather Service has issued an extreme heat advisory through Thursday.
